Young Women's Reading Group
April 2008
With the inspiration arising in the heart of Madhumita Devi Dasi, a dynamic young women's reading group has formed within the Seva Ashram community.
Madhumita hosted the first meeting in her home. Here she is offering incense to Srila Gurudev who is looking out over the program.
Vaidehi Devi Dasi prepared pizza for everyone.
Nalina Sundari Devi Dasi played the mrdanga while Vaidehi led the kirtan.
Krishnendrani Devi Dasi and Michele take part in a lively discussion led by Radhika Devi Dasi. The consensus chose to read Sri Prapanna Jivanamrta, and Radhika enlivened everyone with the concept of taking on responsible service.
With modern technology this meeting was not limited to those present in the room but they also connected with Yudhamanyu Prabhu and some of the Chinese Devotees that Radhika and Madhumita had met on their recent trip to China.
The connection wasn't so good but the affection was enthusiastically communicated.
Anandita Devi Dasi in China can be seen on the computer screen. She was the Chinese side coordinator for this event.
Nalina Sundari, Sushila, Madhumita, Satyabhama, Krishnendrani, Michele and Radhika Devi Dasis. Nadia Devi Dasi was present also but not in any of the pictures. Srimati Jivana Didi covered the service committments to Sriman Mahaprabhu in San Jose so that Nalina Sundari and Krishnendrani could attend. Deeper friendships were developed and the future is bright indeed with such beautiful Vaishnavis within our family.
