The Bhakti Yoga Club is held every Monday at Cabrillo College and Fridays at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
An attentive guest happily hears the glories of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga.
Vrinda Didi and Mahadevi Didi organize this service but all of the devotees at the Ashram (especially Kalindi Didi) work together on club days to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
Sureshwari Didi arranges a feast of sumptuous prasadam, which is always very happily received and honored by the students.
For many students this is the first time chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
Many spiritual books are presented so that students can read the sweet words of Srila Govinda Maharaj and Srila Sridhar Maharaj first hand.
Gaia, a new club member, has visited the Ashram several times and has expressed, "Since I started bhakti yoga I feel ten times happier. I have been smiling a lot and things have not been bothering me as easily. I am reading the Bhagavad-gita regularly. It has just been great overall and I feel like everything is making more sense."
Maheshwari Didi, Ratan Krishna Prabhu and Virachandra Prabhu frequently participate. Nowla Kishor Prabhu often leads the discussions.
After this meeting everyone went downtown for Harinam Sankirttan on Pacific Avenue, where we continued to pass out invitations and books.
Ratan Krishna Prabhu reading from Sri Guru and His Grace. Sometimes one person leads the discussion, and other times everyone takes turns reading from one book.
Jamil has been attending club meetings for several years. Already a few people from the club have come to the Sunday feasts and Vaishnava festivals this year.
Blake, who has been visiting our Ashram has also been enthusiastic to particpate.
