Remembering Sripad Siddhanti Maharaj

Sripad Bhakti Premik Siddhanti Maharaj passed away from his material body on Monday, February 1, 2010. He left behind a lifetime of friends and well-wishers. Over Siddhanti Maharaj's long career in devotional life, he touched the hearts of thousands of devotees and sincere seekers.
Serving Srila A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swami Prabhupad, Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev Goswami Maharaj and Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev Goswami Maharaj, Siddhanti Maharaj traveled around the world preaching Krishna Consciousness, establishing temples and giving nourishment to many souls in their spiritual life. He published books and gave countless lectures on devotional service to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga.
He was always helping with whatever was needed to help in the progress of Mahaprabhu's mission.
Here he is helping Sureshwari serve Prasadam on Srila Gurudev's first world tour.
He was present when we first acquired the Soquel Seva Ashram property in 1993.
He was present every time Srila Gurudev visited here.
Always by his side.
By his stellar example of attending every program and especially the kirtans,
he encouraged and inspired others with affection, to take their Krishna concious practices seriously.
Every time there were new initiates he would welcome and spend time getting to know them,
offering encouragment and spiritual guidance.
The Eugene devotees received much nourishment and affection from him.
Being very fond of kirtan he was always encouraging the devotees
to chant and hear about the glories of the Holy Name
Until he was no longer able, he participated in every preaching program inspite of his failing health.
Including Harinam in downtown Santa Cruz.
He liked to go to the devotees homes and join in the Nam Hatta programs.
He joined in the Prasadam distribution programs on campus as well as giving class with the Bhakti Yoga Club.
He eagerly participated wherever preaching and chanting took place.
Wherever the devotees were that is where he wanted to be.
Always encouraging especially to the young people.
He was also completely at home in India, maybe even more so than in the west.
He spent many years there
and also fullheartedly particpating in
any and all of the preaching programs large and amall.
He received the holy order of sannyas from His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev Goswami Maharaj.
He spent many years living wherever Srila Gurudev was
and travelling on many of the world tours.
He befriended everyone near and far
and will be dearly missed.
He reasons ill who tells that Vaishnavas die
When thou art living still in sound!
The Vaishnavas die to live, and living try
To spread the holy name around!
