Sripad Bhakti Madhava Puri Maharaj is one of our senior sannyasis of the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and is a transcendental Vaishnava scientist. His Holiness is a disciple of Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad and received sannyasis initiation in 1982 from Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj.

A faithful follower of Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj and Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj, we have been very fortunate to have his association during his extended stays at the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Seva Ashram in San Jose, California.

Through the UCSC Bhakti Yoga Club, the devotees in Soquel arranged a program at the University of California at Santa Cruz where Sripad Janardan Maharaj and Sripad Puri Maharaj spoke.

Sripad Puri Maharaj gave his lecture on The Evolution of Consciousness, wherein he systematically explains how life comes from life.

Many students attended and asked thoughtful questions about the popular Darwinian theory of evolution, the meaning of devotional service, Quantum physics, etc
